UK Coachings' Sport and Physical Activity Programmes, usually £18 are now free until 31 August 2020. Gain the confidence to be able to support people experiencing mental health problems, and help them to thrive inside and outside of your sessions.

A spokesperson said; "We know how vital it is, both now and going forward, that we all look after ourselves as coaches. We also know that great coaching is about being able to support the people we coach who are experiencing mental health problems. To this end UK Coaching, our awarding body 1st4sport and our partners – Mind and Sport England – have taken the decision to make this online course free to access until 31 August 2020 for the whole coaching community."

The four modules will increase your knowledge and understanding of mental health, providing you with the practical skills and strategies to be able to:

  • build people’s resilience, self-esteem and confidence
  • adapt your sessions to make them more inclusive
  • enable and support mental health recovery, and
  • tackle stigma and discrimination

The course has been awarded 3 CPD points by the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity.
