Kwesi Ochosi was welcomed to the team, and commenced his role as the Community Engagement & Network Co-ordinator for Catalyst 4 Change on 1 August 2022.

Kwesi is the son of a Brixton Black Panther and the grandson of Windrush immigrants. Growing up on one of the UK’s most marginalised council estates inspired him to become a local activist and community organiser. This includes serving as the former chairman of the Queen Mother Moore Supplementary School in Clapham.

He is committed to pursuing reparative justice for African people worldwide. As a member of ICPAD he joined a human rights mission to Colombia in 2021 to investigate the ethnocide of African-Colombians. As a member of Global Afrikan Congress he lobbies UK Parliament for reparative policies.

He is the former Head of Campaigns and Policy for the youth-led 4Front Project, and currently volunteers with The Edge Fund to co-create reparative models of grant-making for Black activists.

Kwesi has developed and led sustainable energy projects across the Midlands and in Brixton with Octopus Energy. As the Development Manager for Political Pixel he worked closely with Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour Party. He is a former co-owner of a Caribbean restaurant in Tottenham, and the current co-owner of a recording studio in Streatham.

Kwesi studied Law at Birkbeck, University of London.
