More About the Support-Connect Initiative

Support-Connect provides a number of pan West Midlands Freephone support lines across the areas of Birmingham, Sandwell, Wolverhampton and Coventry. We are a collaboration between four major charitable African and Caribbean mental health service providers.

The lines are available to African & Caribbean people with a mental health support need, their families and carers during the COVID-19 pandemic that live in the areas set out in the 'Helpline Schedules' below. The lines give callers access to people and workers that they are already familiar with at no cost to them. Download our leaflet here

Friendly helpline staff are on hand (see the schedule below) for just a friendly chat, to direct you to appropriate counselling, therapy or services & support in your area, or to discuss a support issue and/or concern, and so much more.

The service will be in place for at least 12 months (from December 2020), but all partners are committed to work together to secure resources so that this service can be provided indefinitely.
