Short term plans:

MASH have already started talks and planning with three established community organisations who will be working with them to secure funding for activities that they will deliver for MASH participants whilst it secures new direct funding supported by new organisation, CATALYST 4 Change.

OrganisationsMASHare working with:

The planned activities will include:
  1. Managing Your Money + Business Start-Up courses
  2. Information and support sessions on domestic violence
  3. Arts, drama and creative writing sessions
Longer term plans:

MASH is no longer part of the national charity Mind. Its future development will be led by a new organisation called CATALYST which will be launched in a few months time. MASH will also be supported in-kind by the Birmingham & Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust (BSMHFT) Community Engagement Team.

Tippa Naphtali (project co-ordinator) said; “ CATALYST will provide fundraising and capacity building support for MASH and will be the accountable body for the project until such time as it is able to go fully independent as a charity or social enterprise.

“The plan is to see MASH eventually governed and staffed primarily by people with a lived experience of mental health.
