The Synergi Collaborative Centre officially launched in 2017 as a five year national initiative, funded by Lankelly Chase Foundation, to transform the realities of ethnic inequalities in the lived experience of severe mental distress and the impact of multiple disadvantage.

"We aimed to amplify and centre lived experience narratives in research as part of a clear commitment to challenge institutional, structural and interpersonal racism in mental health systems, supported by collaborative leadership and placed-based strategies, underpinned by creative interventions".

Instead of saying a permanent goodbye, Synergi are pleased to hand over the reins to valued partners from within the Synergi ecosystem as the new project leads for Synergi Phase 2 with Catalyst 4 Change and the National Survivor User Network (NSUN). With these organisations come a refreshed collaborative vision, building on Synergi: Phase 1.

There will be a period of transition to Phase 2, alongside the continuation of Creative Spaces and the National Pledge to reduce ethnic inequalities in mental health systems and the Synergi National Pledge Alliance.

"We couldn’t have arrived here without you. Thank you for your support, partnership and allyship."
